Cumberland, MD 7/9/2012 - Like a scene from the 1960s, authentically restored Western Maryland SD-40 7471 and sister SD-35 7436 have the Western Maryland Scenic's GP-30 in tow along the former WM Connellsville Subdivision. The leading pair are vintage WM units, now owned by the Georges Creek Railway in Westernport, MD. On this warm summer evening, the locomotives would take a short jaunt up the WM mainline to Brush Tunnel for a private charter. Taken on WMSR property with permission.
