Awaiting its final departure, Clinchfield NW2 359 sits in Kilgore Creek, VA on May 27, 1993. The locomotive was sold to Clinchfield Coal in 1983 after the formation of Seaboard System and worked tipples along the line. On this day, a group made a trip up the Nora Spur to bring Clinchfield Coal Co. 014 and transport it to the Tennesse Valley Railroad Museum. I am currently unaware of the status of this locomotive, any help would be appreciated. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Wayne Hannan.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
