Remarks & Notes

(See photo ID 490300 for the "before"). Three newly refurbished RRL Grindrod Diesel Locomotives being readied for their journey to Ncala - Mozambique by sea. This is the first of the three, Ex Kiwi Rail DQ6347, now RRL 22-02, being craned onto Transnet's Floating Crane "Indlovu Durban". The vessel collecting them for their journey to Mozambique is not equipped with a suitable crane for loading, hence the use of the floating crane. RRL Grindrod have completed the refurbishment of the two Kiwi Rail locos pretty quickly, as they only arrived in South Africa mid July 2013.
