SECONDS before getting cloud-banged! What a lucky Labor Day weekend, I saw a heritage unit on every single day of it. Monday, the New Jersey Central RR heritage unit snuck it's way up to me as the second of three units on 209. Just sitting there, waiting for the red signal to change, I heard the powerful SD70 roar behind me. Quickly racing up the sidewalk, I was able to get the beautiful consist further down the bridge, where a small boat finally gave up attempting to slide through the "Small Boat Span", and decided to wait for the bridge to raise. A surprise nobody was there, even on the way back on 210, for I got some great shots (which are to be uploaded tomorrow).
