Nighttime along the N&W.... It's a peaceful night with stars shining bright and beautiful, until the faint sound of a westbound time-freight begins echoing throughout the East River Valley.. Soon, the headlight on No. 189 begins silhouetting the ex-N&W CPL signals at Ingleside, W.Va., as the train claws toward Bluefield on NS' Christiansburg District.
