A Burlington Northern coal train slinks through Wendover Canyon, just north (west) of Wendover, Wyoming, on July 8, 1994. On the point is BN SD40-2 No. 7198, with three C30-7s and another SD40-2 trailing. This scenic canyon on the North Platte River is away from roads; it’s pretty much the railroad, the river and nature.
