Remarks & Notes

The SOU 4501 heads east through Pittsburgh over the Pittsburgh and West Virginia enroute home rails at Strasburg, Virginia via the P&WV, WM, and N&W. The milepost would put this at West Liberty. This was part of the famous "Alphabet Route" between Chicago and New York. If I remember correctly this was part of the 1973 version of the Independence Limited.
