A long M-348 from Canada rolls southbound down the former DW&P (now CN) Rainy Sub and past the small Homestead Mills grain mill located trackside in the small northern Minnesota town of Cook, MN (pop. 574). The mill is still in operation today providing Cook and the surrounding area with specialty flour and mixes, agricultural seed, livestock and wildlife feed, and are a retail supplier of farm and garden items with wild rice from Nett Lake, considered the premimun organic native grain available.
