| At one time the SD80MAC was NS's only form of AC traction power. Acquired second hand from Conrail in 1999, NS would not see "new" AC power until 2008. Since then NS has over 100 ES44ACs and 75 SD70ACes in service with an additional 25 of each on order for 2013.
