Two freight trains meet at track speed in the heart of Crozier Canyon east of Valentine, Arizona, on the afternoon of March 6, 1996. At this point, both Santa Fe and Burlington Northern were subsidiaries of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, with both railroads officially disappearing on December 31, 1996. But on this late winter day in Arizona, the railroad sure looked like the Santa Fe of old!
