With GWI orange paint ready to flow in St. Albans, Vermont, the days of 'old' New England Central Railroad consists are short-lived. On Wednesday, February 6, NECR White River Junction local train 601 works by the depot with NECR (ex-FEC) GP40-2 437 and NECR GP38 3850 (and a neat Southern Pacific double door boxcar!). There is word that the former NECR/CORP GP40CU 4001 and Road Slug 4165 are heading for GWI orange and will join the 437 at WRJ, however subject to change for assignment, the former 4001/4165 are getting painted in the coming weeks.
