| I can’t recall a trip to Zürich in this century when there hasn’t been at least one of the historic fleet travelling about the system on private charters or purposeful trips such as the Fonduetram. While waiting in a gentle rain for the appearance of the Märlitram, one of the four surviving ‘elefant’ cars came by with an overflow crowd accommodated by a two-axle trailer. As always in the Christmas season, the Bahnhofstraße was beautifully illuminated, this year’s version of the lights gently waving in a light breeze to create a snowfall image. |
