Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific's 'City of Heber' passenger train? Not hardly. On July 18, 1989, a group chartered a dinner train on the Heber Creeper from Heber City to Vivian Park and return. UP NW2 #1011 pulls the short train up a 2.5% grade at Rio Vista approaching Deer Creek Dam. The first car is a former rotary snow plow that now houses a power generator while the second is a former Union Pacific dining car. This view at milepost 11.7 is now blocked by the new U.S. Highway 189 overpass.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
