| Harper's Ferry, WV 12/26/12 - Sheets of freezing rain cascade off the roof of the Harper's Ferry passenger station as the last commuter train of the day approaches for its station stop just before 9:00 p.m. While the passenger depot at Harper's Ferry has been meticulously restored by the U.S. Park Service, the same cannot be said of the small waiting shed across the tracks that teters under the weight of a snow load and years of neglect. The westbound train from Washington, D.C. is on the mainline bridge across the Potomac River. |
