| In the shadow of the 20th Century Limited. On Thanksgiving Day 2012, Amtrak's Adirondack "Pocket Streamliner" rolls NB (geographic WB) at MP 150 on what was once the 4 track main of the New York Central. The piles of ties are for the addition of the long awaited second track between Albany and Schenectady. VIA Park Series Dome Observation Tweedsmuir Park brings up the markers. VIA leased 12 cars to Amtrak for 8 days of service during the Thanksgiving rush. Two Park Dome-Obs were included to assist with food service needs. |
