Remarks & Notes
NJ Transit's equipment fleet was decimated by Superstorm Sandy. The railroad kept equipment in low lying areas in Kearny and Hoboken, only to get damaged by the tidal surge. A total of 63 locomotives and over 250 passenger cars were damaged. The Morristown & Erie Railway was contracted to repair ten of these locomotives, that include Metro North West-of-the-Hudson assigned locomotives.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
