In 1993, the Ontario Northland expanded its operations when it took over a portion of the Canadian National’s former Canadian Northern main line from Cochrane west to Hearst and Calstock, Ontario. In this photo, a ONR work extra has cleared in weed-encrusted Opasatika siding for a westbound freight to pass on the afternoon of September 21, 1993.
