| On a beautiful fall afternoon Reading & Northern's Mountain Job is on its journey back south from Mount Carmel Junction to Tamaqua after a day of switching the various customers along R&N's Mahanoy & Shamokin Branch. The train is seen here holding at East Mahanoy Junction for a brief pause to allow a track crew to clear up before entering the mainline for the short trip back to Tamaqua. Later in the evening the nocturnal Reading Turn crew will use this power and take these outbound cars along with other outbound traffic picked up in Port Clinton to the NS interchange at Reading. |
