Remarks & Notes

Late in the afternoon as the sun had draped across the right side of the locomotive NS Corp photographer Casey Thomason and I thought it would be an interesting photo to open up all of the body side doors to illustrate the internal components of the locomotive. The bright colors of the body paint help to set off the internal component details in the image. After spending so much time around these locomotives and many others it is always a challenge to find something new and exciting to illustrate and hope that this view does that job. This locomotive was proudly built by the fine folks of General Electric in Erie, PA. Paint and lettering was completed by the Norfolk Southern paint shop in Chattanooga TN under the watchful eye of Bob Saxton. Additional special thanks to Casey Thomason and Jonathan Guy.
