Remarks & Notes
Adding the dome and changing crews. After arriving at Rensselaer, the dual mode P32 has cut off and the Ocean View full dome and P42 are being backed onto the Adirondack for the run to Montreal. The outbound crew is also shown preparing to board the 191. The dome runs north on the Adirondack Sat-Mon-Thurs thru the end of October.

Amtrak Adirondack and Predecessors

Album created by member Ellis Simon

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
