In 1976 the Wolfboro RR, a steam tourist line in eastern NH, had just taken over service on former B&M trackage north out of Concord, NH to Laconia and Lincoln, NH. This is a passenger train, operated over its new Central Wolfboro Division for local dignitaries, current customers and new prospect. Earlier accident damage to short hood end necessitated borrowed steam loco headlight. Photographer Ken Patton takes use back in history to a line currently operated by The Winnipesaukee Railroad. This train runs near the area of Governor Romaine’s summer home and is famous for the annual Thanksgiving Hart’s Turkey Farm diner train.
