| A batch of 30 diesel and three electric ex-Queensland Railways locomotives was recently imported into South Africa from Australia by three South African companies - AR&TS, RRL Grindrod and SAFLog. One of 6 class 2600 Goninan/GE U22C's (rebuilt as C22-MMi) that went to RRL Grindrod, # 2611 is being overhauled at their Pretoria workshops. On the right is sister loco # 2606, already repainted in RRL red livery. Photographed with permission. |
