The 2012 Coal Miner's Vacation has concluded and production is in full swing as a loaded export coal drag moves east on the main two in Handley. The once massive C&O yard at Handley hosted a substantial coal classification yard, turntable, coal tower, and servicing facility in the steam and diesel eras. Today, all that remains are two mainlines and a single siding. All tracks are occupied today, an unusual sight in Handley, evident that coal is moving good on the former Chesapeake & Ohio mainline.
