Dober Dan Comrade Former stablemates from the Jugoslavian Railway fleet (JZ) meet at Buzet, the border of Croatia and Slovenia. Both are graduates of Duro Dakovic locomotive works which built EMD locomotives for Jugoslavia under license. HZ 2062.035 is a 664-0, now classed as a 2062 by HZ, SZ 664.108 is a 664-1, substantially larger and equipped with dynamic brakes. The Pula line is where HZ and SZ sent the most ragged out locomotives in their fleet and both units are working out the last months before they are due for a overhaul. This is the only place where one can see a HZ and SZ diesel locomotive together, and at that only in the summer months when the Pula to Budapest train runs. Word has it that the train will not return next year, though hopefully the high patronage will make HZ change its mind. Thanks to the border guard for letting me get off for this photo.
