| As the sun is about to rise in southern Ohio, the dispatcher in Huntington, WV has a bit of traffic to run on the Northern Subdivision. Russell, KY to Avon, IN freight Q311 is coming westbound and has just passed the first of two eastbounds, a taconite train for AK Steel in Ashland, KY. With the second eastbound lined and the K train’s rear end by the intermediate signal at MP 42.2, the US&S color light signals perform just as Swissvale intended with a clear indication displayed at the West End of Vauces Center Siding and an approach at the East End. |
