Remarks & Notes |
Passing the Pax Branch Baptist Church, two CSX AC's return to the loadout at Pax to retrieve 70 loads of coal before departing toward the CSX interchange at Thurmond. The engines have just set out an additional cut of 30 cars in Mt. Hope, which will be tied back onto the train once departing the loadout. This unique switching operation is required in order for the train to make the grade out of Pax. Two CSX AC's provide power on the head end of the train once departing Pax, while two R.J. Corman Tunnel Motors assist on the rear. |
