| Empties for the Danville coalfields have just knocked down the signal at E.E. Coal River Siding, CLF 6.2. Nearly 25 miles are left for this empty man before he reaches his crew run destination of Danville from Russell. The train will be recrewed later on into the night by a Danville local crew and will be loaded and shipped back out on the mainline in approximately 24 hours. Coal is king on the C&O all year round, with coal staying steady with less than three weeks remaining in 2011. |
