Remarks & Notes
For some reason unknown to John, Amtrak's Quincy Zephyr is detouring to Chicago over ATSF, instead of making the run via Mendota on the BN as usual. The train utilized CNW equipment at this point in time, and is seen here after making the short hop from the BN to the Santa Fe just west of downtown Galesburg. This was John's first trip to Galesburg to railfan after relocating from his home in the east. The signals are approach to the x-overs at GI west of Galesburg.
