| Recession? What recession? This vista of the Bingham Junction development along UTA's Mid-Jordan line gives the impression that economic prosperity is abundant. Developers are taking advantage of a new light rail route through the Salt Lake County suburb of Midvale. Twenty years ago, all of this property was an environmental hazard and superfund site. The massive effort required to remove decades of contaminated soil and smelting slag have transformed a once blighted area into new housing and office space. |
