One of the most meaningful aspects of the railfan hobby to me is the shared love of trains with my father. My father brought me on railfan trips from an early age, and I started taking print pictures at the age of 5 in October 1973. I moved up to slides with my instamatic by the time I took this picture (It's hard to believe now that Kodachrome is gone, that you could even get it in the instamatic format in the 70s). Even at a young age, I quickly acquired his love of the Lehigh Valley. This is a favorite location, the spot where Eastbound LV trains left their trains to make drop-offs/pick-ups at the yard in South Plainfield.
