Remarks & Notes
Built in April 1961, the Delaware and Hudson’s first chopped nose, RS-11 5006, two RS-3's and another RS-11 work Wilkes Barre, PA/ Mechanicville, NY tonnage. This eastbound train built a lot of momentum through the sag at Central Bridge, but is now working hard on the climb through Esperence, New York.. We used to refer to the 5006 as the flagship of the D&H.
