A Union Pacific Cheyenne, WY to Salt Lake City, UT passenger special descends the original 1860's track alignment of the Overland Route through Castle Rock, Utah. On the point, the largest operating diesel locomotive in the world, an EMD DDA40X, built new for the UP in January 1971.
