| This is railroading in Appalachia.. 150 loaded coal cars are getting a little taste of what's to come as they struggle up the steady .50% grade at Hilldale. The sand is applied and these GE's are in notch eight as they'll soon crest the grade in the Big Bend Tunnel. As they continue their trek eastward, the grade over Alleghany will require the assistance of the Ronceverte helper. |
