| While the Soo had quite a collection of hi-nose Geeps on the roster catching a pair together in Upper Michigan was not all that common. Normal operation in the 60's and early 70's had them mixed in with F's and second generation hoods on through freights. They were often assigned to locals, but usually only a single unit was found on those jobs. Later on after the F's disappeared they were usually seen trailing big SD's when they made appearances. This shot in April of 1981 with 2413,2553 working the west end of the yard at Trout Lake before leaving for Marquette was more of the exception than the rule. |
