| Turning the power. After arriving at Rockwood Station with the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's annual Winter Photo Train, K-28 #478 takes the wye to begin a turning operation that will result in a south-facing train. This year, both the D&S Photo Train and the Willow Creek Productions Charter were reversed at Rockwood and backed into the Animas Canyon to ensure optimal lighting for photography at all of the designated photo spots. The photographers who participated in these events owe a debt of gratitude to the excellent D&S crews for their quick execution of these turns and for nailing all of the photo spots at the optimal times. The results achieved were nothing short of spectacular on all three days. |
