Winter wonderland at one of the most magnificent railfanning locations in the world. No cellphones, no internet, no roads, a five mile walk in, no running water, no toilets, concrete beds with fires under them to keep you warm... Amidst all of this we were surprised to find the relative luxury of a snowman guarding number 4 as she waits to assist an approaching coal train up to summit in light snow flurries. Next morning at sunrise one of my companions proudly announces a -35 degree C (-31 F) temperature... Brrrr! Happy Holidays to all.
