BN's train #405 would orginate out of their North KC yard in the early evenings. The train would head north to St Joseph, and then Omaha. On summer afternoons it was a great chase! It was a great train to catch because it nearly always ran with older, or secondary road power. SD-9s, GP-38s and GP39-2s were common, but occasionaly 2000 series unrebuilt GP-20s would get the point. Once I lucked out and got three SD-9s ;0) I used to love to chase this train because of its often eclectic power.
