Inside the roundhouse at Calumet Yard NKP Hudson 173 rested after being coaled and watered. By this time she was mostly backup power for the Alco Pas that handled NKPs passenger service. On June 1, 1958 NKP 173 made the last revenue run by an NKP Hudson, from Calumet to Ft. Wayne.
