The wide open spaces and towering mountain scenery of the Turnagain Arm provide a nice backdrop as the sun sets on the horizon as seen from the north siding switch at Brookman, Alaska. Railroading in Alaska sees many different types of weather, this certainly being some of the nicest weather all year. To the left of the switch stand is a broom propped up against a stake acting as a reminder that brutal winter weather is not far around the corner.
