Wrentham branch way freight power has delivered two empty boxcars to the Bird Shoe Carton factory siding at the end of the subway. The trip east back to the actual subdivision is about one mile of tortuous track. In less than two years after this shot, the whole east Walpole Bird complex will shut down for good.
