Stranger in a strange land. On National Train Day 2010, the night photo session hosted by the O. Winston Link Museum featured N&W 611, which was built in town and still resides there, and Norfolk Southern GP59 4610, painted in a special Southern-inspired paint scheme. The green visitor is seen here in front of the former Roanoke train station, which still proudly wears huge N&W logos.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
