Remarks & Notes
Miles to go: One of the few concessions to modernity, this powered tamper was built by a team of volunteers in the museum's own shops, and seen here operated by a different yet equally dedicated team. The heart and soul of this one-of-a-kind 2-foot gauge Tamper, nicknamed "Big Joe," is a used fork-lift which was purchased on ebay.

A tribute of appreciation to the workers who maintain the track, keeping our railways in shape regardless of weather and danger, and keeping them running effeciently.
