Engineer Kurt Dietrich takes Nevada Northern's wreck train past the ore docks at Lackawanna Road on the southbound run to the Mines District. The power this afternoon is the line's beefy Consolidation #93 and the muscle this 1909 Alco product has is definitely needed. The consist today includes a 100-ton steam crane that weighs every bit as much as 93 does. Rounding out the consist are the crane's tool car, a flat, a ballast hopper, a box car, a combine and a caboose.
