Remarks & Notes
The Galesburg, IL, to Chicago, IL, manifest train starts to pull again at Earlville after waiting for Amtrak's train #380. This train is passing some of the old CB&Q marker that still line this section of track east of Mendota. These signals and telegraph poles maybe in danger with the upgrades planned this summer?

Railroad Pole Lines

Album created by member Matt Weldon

Various photos showing the railroad pole lines. The pole line had four basic functions or electrical applications - telegraph, telephone, controlling (signaling), and power. The pole lines are fast disappearing from the railroad scenery.
