A near full moon hovers over the westbound signal at CP "Indian" which is displaying an approach slow for an oncoming coal train. I heard the train in the distance upon arrival at this location, but due to the mountains and the way the sound carries for a considerable distance, I knew I had enough time to setup for this blend of two images. First, I focused on the signal and did a timed exposure, in attempt to get the signal well exposed, but without blowing out the sky since a full moon provides a substantial amount of light. Once my exposure ended, I then quickly focused on the moon and exposed it correctly. I then used the help of Photoshop to blend the two images together. I was able to make it back home (about 10 minutes from the photo location) before the train called that signal.
