Remarks & Notes
A southbound coal train behind three class 18E's crossing the Suikerbosrant (sugar bush ridge) river, between Fortuna and Spruytsrus on the Natal mainline. the third locomotive is in the new Transnet Freight Rail livery. At this point the river forms the provincial boundary, the locomotives have crossed into Mpumalanga, while the rest of the train is still in Gauteng. The retaining wall below the locomotives is part of the old track alignment, with a bridge abutment visible in the trees across the river.
