Remarks & Notes
It's round trip to Deer Creek Dam complete, Heber Valley Railroad's 'Tube and Train' has come to a stop at the passenger depot at Heber City. The UP 1011 was restored in it's vintage UP 'Challenger' livery last May. The EMD NW-2 was built for the Union Pacific in 1940 and served it's owner well until retirement from service in 1977. Within weeks it was donated to the state of Utah and has served faithfully for nearly 33 years! Not a bad service life (approaching 70 years) for a humble little yard switcher.
