| The Brooklyn sails through through the southwest corner of the Mojave Desert at track speed of 70 mph with Southern Pacific heritage unit #1996 in the lead. Having been lensed by many a Calrailfans Yahoo Groups and West Coast Rail Forums and SoCalRailFan member up in Tehachapi already (all three groups had agreed on a meet that weekend), this engine was the subject of quite a lot of paparazzi that day. |
