Remarks & Notes
With the knowledge that Romulus tower was not long for this world, I stopped by one afternoon to record its presence before it "bit the dust." While I was there, I was treated to the passage of train SC-1 with Union Pacific "pool" power on the point. Within a few months, Romulus tower did indeed become "history" and thereafter, train watching wasn't quite the same at this junction between the Norfolk & Western (former Wabash) and Chesapeake & Ohio (former Pere Marquette) 19 miles west of Detroit. The tower was built by the Wabash and manned with Wabash/N&W operators.
