Remarks & Notes |
Amtrak 774 flies through Carlsbad, CA on a Sunday afternoon. Behind them are the remnants of a dust cloud they kicked up while going through a patch of fresh ballast. The train would later be caught by a dragging equipment detector as the loose ballast kicked up and knocked a utility conduit loose from the undercarriage of one of the cars, the train was terminated at the spot and passengers transferred to another train to continue their journey so the damage could be inspected and secured by Mechanical Department before the train moved. |
